Here Kitty Kitty Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2015 in Elkhart, Indiana.

We are a cage-free facility that allows kitties to live their best life prior to adoption, regardless of how long it takes.

HKKR was founded by Jennifer (left), whose love of cats began at a young age. She worked with many different rescues and missions over the course of her life. This assisted her with the decision to build her own rescue. She knew there was a great need for a cat rescue in the Elkhart, Indiana area. Thus, Here Kitty Kitty Rescue was born.

Over the years, Jennifer realized that the rescue could be a sanctuary for "non-adoptable" kitties as well. HKKR gives the kitties with medical or behavioral issues a forever home. They can live out their lives without the fear of being thrown out or abandoned.

Brittany (right) began fostering for the rescue in 2020. She is known as the gardener, maintenance woman, and office manager. Brittany helps with various cleaning tasks at the rescue as well.

My name is Jen. I’m the president and owner of Here Kitty Kitty Rescue. I started out fostering for various rescues and the shelter. I thought that if I could foster for others, I could possibly start up my own business. We have been in business for ten years, and it’s been full of hard work, heartache, dedication, and love.

Hi! My name is Brittany Garver. I've been doing various things with Here Kitty Kitty Rescue for the past 5 years, ranging from fostering, volunteering, yard work, maintenance, and caring for the farm animals. Recently, I decided to leave my job in the rescue industry to come work full-time at the rescue as office manager.

Working with animals has always filled my heart with joy and made me feel happy and complete, so after having a family discussion, we all agreed that Here Kitty Kitty Rescue was where I needed to be. Also, working with my best friend every day is an obvious job perk!
